Since the dawn of Molecular Biology in the 1930s an overwhelming body of research has helped mankind to develop an understanding of how life works at its most basic level. Fixing the NHS

Last week’s pre-budget report form Alistair Darling does not make for happy reading. The main headline grabbers are the one-off tax on bank bonuses over £25,000 and an increase in National Insurance contributions from April 2011. Also in the report are plans to scale back spending on the NHS IT scheme (NPfIT) in England.
