Study Finds Social Tools Enhance Online Health Programs

In a recent study out of the University of Michigan, it was found that by adding an online community social element to an online health program, in this case an Internet-based walking program, the number of participants who disengaged was reduced dramatically.



The results showed that 79% of participants who used the online forums to motivate each other, completed the 16 week program, compared to only 66% who completed it from the group who did not utilize the social…

Too much social networking can be harmful to teens

While we all know there are many benefits and positive outcomes resulting from being socially connected, one new study shows that too much of a good thing, is bad for teens.
