The initial stream of support to Haiti following its devastating earthquake was an amazing act of humanity to watch unfold. Volunteer physicians from all over the world dropped what they were doing to be where their skills were most needed. Now, months after the incident, physicians that can no longer be present physically in Haiti, are reaching out through telecommunication to diagnose and recommend treatment.
This instance represents a small piece of what an effective physician network could provide globally, and will be an interesting case to monitor as it develops! _______________________________
