Health Care Trends With a Social Media Twist

How social media has changed crisis management

Have you wondered how social media is changing the game for crisis management.  Attached is a good blog that walks through a recent crisis involving a congressman and a Craig's List posting, resulting in a real hot mess.   The blog then details what that hot mess could look like if it was a pharma crisis and the importance of having some social media assets ready to go before the crisis hits.  Very interesting read.

Remember Motrin Moms?  Amazing how relevant this case study is nearly three years later...and how much is still uncharted territory when it comes to HCSM and crisis comms! What I'll always remember from Motrin is the importance of authenticity and speaking your audience's language...they don't want to feel like they're hearing from a machine, they want to feel like they're hearing from a human being!
