IT could help the NHS - Doh..

The latest report on how utilising IT could help save the NHS cash in the long term and lives in the short term.

It seems a little churlish to suggest that Homer Simpson might have a word for this report - but more appropriately the word might be better directed at healthcare decision makers. The word is not an acronym for the Department of Health BTW.

I realise that Healthcare IT as it relates to the NHS in particular, is an incredibly complex issue - perhaps because we have made it so over a decade of making decisions on IT integrations only to go back on these decisions and have a flotilla of half-started, half-baked services.

Give healthcare professionals what they need to provide care. Sounds simple.
