Fantastic article demonstrating just how broken our healthcare system is. I am sure our lawsuit-happy country doesn't help the situation. And with all the technology pouring into the health care system, how is it possible that people are still carrying their medical images with them? This also gets into the arena of all the societies telling women to not get mammograms and men to not get prostate screenings. Why is the healthcare system becoming such a ball of confusion?

On the other hand, it does seem like other aspects of healthcare are operating a bit more efficiently. I recently had a baby and that whole process seemed very smooth especially between the hospital and the pediatrician's office while I was in the hospital as well as after. Do some specialties work better with others?
